iPRoMiSe

Dear Wabsie,

I promise to give you the best of myself
and to ask of you no more than you can give.

I promise to respect you as your own person
and to realize that your interests, desires and needs
are no less important than my own.

I promise to share with you my time and my attention
and to bring joy, strength, and imagination to our relationship.

I promise to keep myself open to you,
to let you see through the window of my world into my innermost
fears and feelings, secrets and dreams.

I promise to grow along with you,
to be willing to face changes in order to keep our relationship
alive and exciting.

I promise to love you in good times and bad,
with all I have to give and all I feel inside in the only way I know how.
Completely and forever.

fighting hunger and tiredness, overcoming sleepiness and boredom,
Capt. Oaks.

SeReNDiPiTY . . .

Serendipity is the effect by which one accidentally discovers something fortunate, especially while looking for something else entirely.

thats what it feels like being with this bunch of caring, loving, thoughtful, evil individuals im working with. sometimes it makes you wonder whether fate is really your own doing or made by a divine being overseeing things happening around us.

after i left alexandra hospital, i felt kinda sad coz the bunch i was working with for 2 years made me feel at home. though the management sux plus i dunno where i was headed, my colleagues treated me as a family member. respected my opinions and made me belong. unfortunately some "people" made me feel scared coz they are supposed to be guiding me to the right path of success yet they fell way way short of my expectations. instead, inevitably, i have to move on.

last week was something i never expected. more so yesterday's dinner. noticing im the only pinoy in the table, gave my heart a warm, proud feeling. aside from the evil cat, i do think honestly that they have grown dear to me and i am to them. hats off to you guys for a new home. somehow i get bullied, beaten up or just plain boring days with all of you makes me happy. never mind those we "marked" as incompetent, i still do love them. without them, we will have one less topic. hahaha.
mushy mushy mushy . . .im so gay tonight. yaiks.

did you know that the origins of valentine's day or st. valentine's day isnt romantic at all? heheheh . .not to spoil anything nor declaring myself unromantic but just for facts, it marks a day where one christian martyr died . . .
anyways, i dunno if its bad or good fortune that my wife is sick today . . meaning, i was not alone in the haus. tell me if this is romantic or not? we spent the day in a clinic trying to get her an mc, ate in a very limited selection hawker center, bought 3 kg of bananas that will ripen in 2 days time. went home and watched a gameshow, played football while she slept etc etc . . .
bottom line, i love my best friend. would spend this day with no other. lab u borj. i would love to spend all of my valentine's day with you more.

HaPPYLuNaRNeWYeaR

geez . . if you are chinese, i think you should spend more than non chinese people every year coz you have more holidays, imagine, you have to celebrate new year twice! lets just put it this way, if you are a rojak singaporean, grandparents are a mix malay and chinese, then you are married to an indian christian guy, lets count how many holidays you have to celebrate. (lets not imagine how your colleagues hate you btw).
new years day. chinese new year. valentine's day (married). lent (good friday). labour day. labor day (might get pregnant). hari raya. deepavali. hari raya haji. national day (coz u are patriotic). christmas! etc etc (sorry if i missed out sumthing.

anyways, i read some comic strip about last year being the year of the fire pig whereas the mother of the house was preparing meals from "pork" during their reunion dinner. makes me wonder this year are they serving roasted rat, mouse kway tyaw, or mice "loh hei" . . .pardon me my chinese friends, i know im just being an ass. im just bored woorking here without much to do. (no stupid nurses to argue around) seems like those with little brains have gone for a long holiday and the smart ones left behind. i pity those chinese nurses though, they look sad as if someone just passed away. tsk tsk tsk. eniweys! happy lunar new year you rats you!
